“The trouble with talking too fast is you may say something you haven’t thought of yet.”
— Ann Landers, Advice Columnist
Have this ever happened to you? I am sure it did, it has happened to me many times before and I have been striving to learn the principle “Learn to Think Before I Speak”.
The real lesson that I have learned out of this principle is that, when I slow down and think, I have a chance to ponder about what I am going to say and, by doing so, I get a chance to pick and choose my words wisely, therefore, I am able to reduce the chances to commit mistakes and, most importantly, I reduce the chance of offending people.
So, if you are in a hurry to talk about something, please, do yourself a favor, slow down, think before you speak!
Have a wonderful life!
